Football Recap: Neshaminy Starts Season with Win Against Emmaus

Neshaminy had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They really took it to the Emmaus Hornets for the full four quarters, racking up a 30-0 win. The Skins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hornets on Friday, too.

Neshaminy was led to victory by Carter Clee and Michael Eckart. Clee gained 165 total yards and two touchdowns, while Eckart threw for 199 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Clee a new career-high in rushing yards (147).

Neshaminy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Nick Sassano.

Neshaminy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 41-0 victory against Council Rock North on the 28th. As for Emmaus, they are taking a road trip to take on Bethlehem Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
