Soccer Recap: Phoenix Academy Takes a Loss

If Phoenix Academy was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Piedmont Classical on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Firebirds came up short against the Leadership Academy Falcons on Thursday, falling 6-0.

Phoenix Academy's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 3-6-1. As for Leadership Academy, the win got them back to even at 4-4-3.

Phoenix Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Clover Garden School on the 26th. As for Leadership Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cornerstone Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
