Basketball Recap: Spartanburg Day Griffins vs. Greenwood Christian Hawks
Spartanburg Day lost against Greenwood Christian last Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartanburg Day Griffins took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenwood Christian Hawks. The Griffins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Greenwood Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isaiah Scott-Palacios out in front who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Scott-Palacios' evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Ty Kennedy was another key player, going 5-for-9 on his way to 15 points and five boards.
Spartanburg Day's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Greenwood Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.
