It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mead had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Air Academy Kadets a 4-0 shutout. Give Mead's defense some credit: that's the team's eighth straight shutout.

They hit Air Academy with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nataly Joesten (2), Madelyn Wright, and Lexi Van Dyke.

Mead pushed their record up to 14-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those five matchups. As for Air Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5-2.

Looking ahead, Mead will face off against Windsor at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Windsor will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Mead surely won't give up without a fight. Air Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
