Football Game Preview: Raytown Bluejays vs. Chrisman Bears

The Raytown Bluejays will head out on the road to square off against the Chrisman Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Raytown is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Fort Osage just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 36-28 to the Indians.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Roger Haney, who picked up 101 receiving yards and one score.

Raytown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Armon Weathers.

Meanwhile, Chrisman was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 27-21 to Winnetonka.

Raytown suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 5-2. As for Chrisman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Everything came up roses for Raytown against Chrisman when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 54-12 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejays since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
