Soccer Preview: Sandy Spring Friends Meets Field

The Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests will take on the Field Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Field will have to contend with a Sandy Spring Friends squad hungry for a win, something the team hasn't seen since September 21. Sandy Spring Friends and Burke finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on September 30th. The result (or lack thereof) marked Sandy Spring Friends' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Field kept a clean sheet against McLean on Tuesday. They put the hurt on McLean with a sharp 7-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Field, who have now won seven matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

Field has been on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That run has powered them to a 7-2 record this season. The wins were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 51 goals over those eight games. Sandy Spring Friends' draw makes their record 0-1-1 this season.
