Tigard and Tualatin are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Tigers will host the Timberwolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tigard is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.

On Friday, Tigard took a blow against Lakeridge, falling 35-7. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon football rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Pacers are ranked fourth).

The losing side was boosted by Cody Matthews, who rushed for 77 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Meanwhile, Tualatin played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against West Linn, falling 52-28. The Timberwolves have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Tigard will have to contain Cole Hachmeister as he made an impact in Tualatin's last game. He rushed for 111 yards and one score on only 13 carries. With that strong performance, Hachmeister is now averaging an impressive 102.2 rushing yards per game. Owen Hagerman also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.

Tualatin's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Tigard, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Tigard was taken down by Tualatin 38-2 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Tigers were down 24-2.
