Volleyball Recap: Irondequoit Takes a Loss

Irondequoit entered their match against Fairport on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Red Raiders. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Eagles have suffered against the Red Raiders since August 27, 2018.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-20, 25-17.

Gia Meeks paced Irondequoit's offense, picking up 11 kills. Meeks got some help from Olivia Cooley and her nine assists. Aleah Nolan controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 14-4-3. As for Fairport, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Irondequoit will look to defend their home court on Monday against Webster Schroeder at 7:00 p.m. Fairport has already played their next matchup (against Pittsford), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
