Franklin County triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Ethan Kembro

Recap: Franklin County Seahawks vs. Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks

The Franklin County Seahawks entered their tilt with the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Franklin County pulled ahead with a 53-52 photo finish over Port St. Joe. That's another feather in the cap for Franklin County, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Ethan Kembro continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamichael Miller, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.

Despite the loss, Port St. Joe saw an underclassman step up: Zay Jenkins scored 17 points along with four steals. Jaden Jenrett was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Franklin County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. As for Port St. Joe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin County will take on Chipley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port St. Joe, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Wewahitchka at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Wewahitchka is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
