Academy of International Studies took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Prince RVT, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Dragons won by a set and slipped past the Falcons 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Dragons.

Academy of International Studies took Prince RVT into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 19-25, 21-25, 15-12.

Academy of International Studies was led to victory by Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez and Lisa Weinberg. Zuluaga- Gonzalez had 27 digs and three aces, while Weinberg had seven digs and six aces. That's the most aces Zuluaga- Gonzalez has posted since back in September.

They weren't the only good servers: Academy of International Studies was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 13 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

When it comes to explaining why Prince RVT lost on Thursday, don't look at Lexxa Rivera. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs.

Academy of International Studies' win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Prince RVT, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-6.

Academy of International Studies wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Academy of Aerospace and Engineering on the 17th.
