Catonsville proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Western Tech & Environmental Science Wolverines 9-8. The win continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Wolverines: they've now won nine in a row.

Catonsville's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Western Tech & Environmental Science, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Catonsville will welcome Carver A&T at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Comets will no doubt try to take advantage of.
