Baseball Recap: Chapman Comes Up Short

Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Abilene Cowboys/Cowgirls, falling 19-7. The Irish were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cowboys/Cowgirls earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Chapman's loss dropped their record down to 7-10-2. As for Abilene, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chapman beat Abilene by a score of 9-1 later that day.
