Volleyball Recap: Lanier Snags Fourth Victory in Last Five Games

The Lanier Longhorns beat the St. Andrew's Lions 2-0 on Saturday.

Brooklyn Surles paced Lanier's offense, picking up six kills. Surles got some help from Emily Walton and her 11 assists. Walton was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Lanier is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for St. Andrew's, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Lanier wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Brookstone on the 9th. As for St. Andrew's, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Stratford Academy on the 9th.
