After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hammond Bishop Noll, Hammond Central was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Washington Township Senators. With Hammond Central ahead 6-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting Washington Township from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Hector Tirado led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The victory got Hammond Central back to even at 6-6. As for Washington Township, they dropped their record down to 1-10-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
