Soccer Game Preview: Concord vs. College Park

The Concord Bears will head out on the road to face off against the College Park Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Concord's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Berean Christian with a sharp 5-0 win. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bears needed considering they were shutout in their previous matchup.

They hit Berean Christian with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Osmar Hernandez (2), Esteban Jacob, Rafael Tamayo, and Ashwin Mendez.

Meanwhile, College Park hasn't lost a match since January 9th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Neither they nor Heritage could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

College Park's draw gives them a new season record of 4-6-3. As for Concord, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.

Concord skirted past College Park 2-1 when the teams last played on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Concord since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
