Baseball Recap: Fairmont Takes a Loss

Fairmont lost against West Bladen back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Golden Tornadoes fell 6-2 to the Knights.

Fairmont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nehemiah Chavis, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Chavis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Fairmont has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for West Bladen, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-4.

While Fairmont had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
