Baseball Recap: Leavitt Takes a Loss

After flying high against Waterville on Monday, Leavitt came back down to earth. The Hornets wound up with the same score they had in their last game (12-2), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. They were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Leavitt saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Marquis, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Leavitt now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Gardiner, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Leavitt is set to take on their familiar foe Erskine Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Gardiner will face off against rival Medomak Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
