Preview: Poolesville Falcons vs. Wheaton Knights
Poolesville is on a three-game streak of home losses (dating back to last season), Wheaton a five-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Poolesville Falcons will take on the Wheaton Knights at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheaton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Poolesville, who comes in off a win.
Even though Poolesville has not done well against Quince Orchard recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Poolesville enjoyed a cozy 65-51 win over Quince Orchard.
Meanwhile, Wheaton had to suffer through a rough 84-50 loss at the hands of Whitman. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wheaton in their matchups with Whitman: they've now lost nine in a row.
The victory got Poolesville back to even at 1-1. As for Wheaton, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Poolesville against Wheaton in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 65-38 win. Does Poolesville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Wheaton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
