The Centennial Huskies are headed away from home for the first time to face off against the Summit SkyHawks at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Centennial is headed out to face Summit after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. Centennial won by a run and slipped past Cajon 10-9. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Cowboys recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ian Calvillo looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.

On the hitting side, Centennial let Ethan Miller and Jaden Walk-Green loose on the outfield. Miller scored two runs while going 2-for-2, while Walk-Green went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Walk-Green has posted since back in February of 2024. Mason Lear was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Summit posted their closest win since April 9, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against La Quinta, sneaking past 3-1.
