Volleyball Recap: Mount Juliet's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Mount Juliet came into Friday's matchup having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Grace Christian Academy Lions 2-1 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Golden Bears have posted since September 12th.

Kynlee Johnson paced Mount Juliet's offense, picking up 11 kills. Johnson got some help from Annabella Brewer and her 19 assists. Kailey Glover controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the defeat, Grace Christian Academy had strong showings from Emma Glenn, who had six digs and five aces, and Lily Conrad, who had ten digs and three assists.

Mount Juliet's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Mount Juliet wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Page on the 20th. As for Grace Christian Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Gallatin on the 20th.
