Football Recap: Fairfield/Augusta Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cut Bank last Friday, Fairfield/Augusta came back down to earth. Fairfield/Augusta took a 34-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua Scotties on Friday. The loss continues a trend for Fairfield/Augusta in their meetings with Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua: they've now lost five in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Fairfield/Augusta lost, don't look at Brock Peace. Despite the final result, he threw for 239 yards and three TDs.

Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua had a senior duo take command as Wyatt Sugg rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry and Khye Gamas rushed for 180 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry. Those 180 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Gamas.

Fairfield/Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Glasgow/Hinsdale/Nashua, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.
