Baseball Recap: McClintock Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against ALA - Queen Creek, McClintock was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top against the Carl Hayden Community Falcons by a score of 4-1. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chargers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2022.

Javier Alvarado made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over six innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

Alvarado wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alex Nemecek, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Lucas Wisehart also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

The victory got McClintock back to even at 5-5. As for Carl Hayden Community, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2.

McClintock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-5 win against Dobson on the 18th. As for Carl Hayden Community, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 17-5 victory against Sierra Linda on the 19th.
