Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cottonwood). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Hillcrest Huskies on Tuesday. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Brighton Young, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Angel Mavarez, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Cottonwood lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Cottonwood's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Hillcrest, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-19.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cottonwood beat the Huskies by a score of 8-2 on Wednesday.
