Archbishop Mitty came tearing into Thursday's contest with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bellarmine College Prep Bells. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in March.

While Archbishop Mitty might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bellarmine College Prep scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 25-21.

Bellarmine College Prep's loss came despite strong showings from Jake Berenguer and Mathias Correa. Berenguer had four digs and two aces, while Correa had nine digs.

Archbishop Mitty's victory bumped their record up to 32-2. As for Bellarmine College Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 20-15 record this season.
