Basketball Recap: Families of Faith Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Families of Faith Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt an 86-36 loss at the hands of Kankakee Trinity Academy. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Screaming Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 70-32 loss back in January.

Cory Hathaway continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Kankakee Trinity Academy, shooting 5-for-8 from long range and dropping a double-double on 23 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hathaway a new career-high in boards. Johnny Bayarra was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to eight rebounds and five assists.

Families of Faith Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-7.

Coming up, Families of Faith Christian Academy will host Schaumburg Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kankakee Trinity Academy, they have already played their next game, a 64-61 win against Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family on the 8th.
