Recap: Western Reserve Academy Pioneers vs. Cleveland Central Catholic Ironmen
In what's become a running theme this season, the Western Reserve Academy Pioneers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cleveland Central Catholic 77-19 at home. Winning may never get old, but Western Reserve Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Angelina Agresta went supernova for Western Reserve Academy, almost dropping a double-double on 17 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Agresta scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lana Beslic, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Western Reserve Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Cleveland Central Catholic, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Western Reserve Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McDowell at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Cleveland Central Catholic, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Royalton at 1:00 p.m. on February 10th.
