Volleyball Recap: Trinidad Trojans vs. Leverett's Chapel Lions
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Neches, Trinidad was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Leverett's Chapel Lions. For the Trojans, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 defeat the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2016.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Trinidad who won the one that mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 15-25, 25-17, 26-28, 15-7.
Trinidad's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Leverett's Chapel, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-19.
