Basketball Recap: Mcgregor Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for McGregor, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They secured a 26-21 W over the Central Texas Christian Lions on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Destin Stringfellow, who posted eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Maurer, who earned seven points and three steals.

McGregor's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points per game. As for Central Texas Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4.

McGregor is taking a road trip to challenge Whitney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. McGregor is facing Whitney at the right time seeing as Whitney is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Central Texas Christian, they will challenge Lutheran at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Central Texas Christian's offense hasn't had much luck over their past four games, but Saturday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.
