Volleyball Recap: Winder-Barrow Comes Up Short

Winder-Barrow lost against Morgan County back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bulldoggs fell just short of the Bulldogs by a score of 2-1.

Morgan County had a senior duo take command as Camryn Scherer had 13 digs and five assists and Riley Mitchell had six digs and four aces.

Winder-Barrow has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Morgan County, the win was the 11th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Winder-Barrow will host Flowery Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morgan County, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Mill Creek on the 9th.
