Baseball Recap: North Central Takes a Loss

North Central was the 9-6 winner over Bloomfield when they last played one another back in May of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Thunderbirds lost 16-3 to the Cardinals on Monday. The Thunderbirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lane Phegley was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

North Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Bloomfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. North Central will head out to square off against Eastern Greene at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bloomfield, they will take on Loogootee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
