Basketball Game Preview: Evander Childs Tigers vs. Roosevelt Educational Roughriders

The Evander Childs Tigers will take on the Roosevelt Educational Roughriders at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evander Childs knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Roosevelt Educational likes a good challenge.

Evander Childs is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Dodge Vocational, posting a 101-36 victory. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Panthers are ranked 775th), the result on Monday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Roosevelt Educational didn't have too much trouble with Tuitt on Monday as they won 64-48.

Evander Childs has also been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.8 points per game. As for Roosevelt Educational, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.
