Basketball Recap: Keys Gate Comes Up Short

Keys Gate had lost nine straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 6-10 to make it ten. They fell 55-44 to the Ransom Everglades Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Raiders are ranked 255th).

As for Ransom Everglades, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 24-point performance the matchup before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ransom Everglades to victory, but perhaps none more so than Dimitri Tatulishvili, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds. That's the most points Tatulishvili has posted since back in November of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Quinn Pegg, who had 16 points and seven boards.

Looking ahead, Keys Gate will look to defend their home court on Friday against LaProgresiva Presbyterian at 5:30 p.m. Keys Gate's defense better be ready for this one: LaProgresiva Presbyterian has averaged an impressive 51.5 points per game this season. As for Ransom Everglades, they will take on Pine Crest in a tournament on Friday. The Raiders will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
