After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hammond, Pine was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Franklinton Demons 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Raiders have posted since September 19, 2024.

Pine had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 24-26, 25-8, 25-13, 15-11.

The victory got Pine back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pine will challenge Fontainebleau at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklinton, they will head out to take on St. Helena College and Career Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
