Football Game Preview: Platte/Geddes vs. Miller/Highmore/Harrold

On Friday Platte/Geddes take on Miller/Highmore/Harrold at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.

After soaring high against Herreid/Selby two weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground last Friday. Platte/Geddes lost to Parkston by a decisive 20-38 margin.

Meanwhile, Miller/Highmore/Harrold have had to suffer through a 3-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Ipswich/Edmunds Central 48-16. With Miller/Highmore/Harrold ahead 36-8 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Miller/Highmore/Harrold's victory lifted them to 1-3 while Platte/Geddes's loss dropped them down to 1-3. In their victory, Miller/Highmore/Harrold relied heavily on senior Karst Hunter, who rushed for 249 yards and 3 touchdowns. Platte/Geddes will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
