Soccer Recap: Griffith Takes a Loss

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Griffith was not quite Wheeler's equal in the second half on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 4-3. The defeat continues a trend for Griffith in their meetings with Wheeler: they've now lost four in a row.

Griffith hit Wheeler with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Miriam Avalos, Camryn Von Ogden, and Mallory Stordeur.

Griffith's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Wheeler, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.

Coming up, Griffith will welcome Hammond Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheeler, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Lowell on the 13th.
