Sean Murphy Drops League-Best Effort on Friday
Starting off the list is Mascoutah's Sean Murphy, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Murphy's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.
Mascoutah dropped their record down to 3-5 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Murphy and Mascoutah will challenge Carbondale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Performance from Ian Dempsey Leads Triad over Civic Memorial
On Friday, Triad got the W thanks in part to Ian Dempsey playing the best football he has all season. Dempsey picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 60 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.
If the past is any indication, Dempsey could be in store for another big game when he takes on Collinsville on Friday. When Dempsey last faced the Kahoks back in October of 2023, he picked up 165 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Brad Hasquin Delivers Best Performance of Season
Brad Hasquin produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Triad to the win on Friday. Hasquin threw for 159 yards and five touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing. The performance also marked the most rushing yards (14) he has had since back in August.
This season, Hasquin has thrown 6 touchdowns (and no picks) while averaging 26.9 passing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging six passing yards per game.

Mac Musgrave Turns in Season-Best Effort
On Friday, Triad got the W thanks in part to Mac Musgrave playing the best football he has all season. Musgrave picked up 58 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
For the year, Musgrave has caught 4 touchdowns while averaging 27.8 receiving yards per game.
