Soccer Game Preview: East Wake Academy vs. NCSSM: Durham

The East Wake Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, East Wake Academy sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over Wake Prep Academy. That's two games straight that East Wake Academy have won by just one goal.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last contest, NCSSM: Durham made sure to put some goals up on the board against Wake Prep Academy on Monday. They put the hurt on the Guardians with a sharp 5-1 win. NCSSM: Durham might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by three goals or more this season.

Elise Murphy and Ava Cummings scored all five of NCSSM: Durham's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

NCSSM: Durham's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5-1. As for East Wake Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.
