Softball Recap: Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory Takes a Loss

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory lost against Lawrence North back in May of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Braves lost 11-1 to the Wildcats. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Georgie Kelich was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Lawrence North, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory will square off against Lawrence Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawrence North, they will welcome North Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
