Basketball Recap: Western Dubuque Comes Up Short

Western Dubuque was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Liberty Lightning, falling 71-45. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 235th, while the Lightning are ranked 33rd).

Western Dubuque's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Liberty, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Western Dubuque has already played their next matchup (against Washington), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Liberty does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
