Volleyball Recap: Miller Grove Comes Up Short

Miller Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valley View Eagles. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Miller Grove sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 22-25, 25-17.

Miller Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Valley View, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Miller Grove has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against North Hopkins on the 21st. Valley View has also already played their next match (against Savoy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
