Softball Game Preview: Mount Tabor Spartans vs. Parkland Mustangs

The Mount Tabor Spartans will take on the Parkland Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mount Tabor has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mount Tabor is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Reagan on Friday. They lost 16-1 to the Raiders.

Meanwhile, Parkland entered their tilt with Western Guilford on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Hornets with a sharp 22-10 win. While the Mustangs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Mount Tabor has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season. Parkland's victory bumped their record up to 7-3.

Mount Tabor took their win against Parkland when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 23-6. Does Mount Tabor have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parkland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
