Softball Recap: Centennial Comes Up Short

Centennial fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Boise on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Brave by a score of 9-8. The Patriots have struggled against the Brave recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Cali Moorhouse made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run. Bailey Simpson ?26 was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Centennial now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Boise, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-9 record.

Coming up, Centennial will take on Capital at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Eagles have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season. As for Boise, they will be playing at home against Owyhee at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Storm will roll in looking for their 21st straight win, something the Brave surely won't give up without a fight.
