Summit Shasta waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Mission Bears 12-2. The Black Bears might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Benedict Del Rosario, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. Caden Frost was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Summit Shasta always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Summit Shasta's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Mission, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit Shasta will head out to challenge North Valley Baptist at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Black Bears are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mission, they are taking a road trip to face off against Lick-Wilmerding at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
