Basketball Recap: Sandusky Takes a Loss

Sandusky was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 61-51 to the Ashland Arrows. The match marked the Blue Streaks' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ashland found their leader in sophomore Kennedy Lacey, who went 9 for 16 on her way to 21 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven assists. Lacey's evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josie Vantilburg, who posted ten points.

Sandusky now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Ashland, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-3.

Sandusky will challenge Perkins at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Ashland, they will venture away from home to square off against Willard at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
