Baseball Game Preview: Alamo Heights Mules vs. New Braunfels Unicorns

The Alamo Heights Mules will face off against the New Braunfels Unicorns at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Alamo Heights easily dispatched Pieper on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Mules fell just short of Johnson by a score of 8-6 on Saturday.

Yul Salaburu was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Hunt Conger, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, while New Braunfels put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Boerne-Champion. The Unicorns walked away with a 3-0 victory over the Chargers.

New Braunfels' win bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Alamo Heights, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16-1 record this season.

Alamo Heights was able to grind out a solid victory over New Braunfels in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, winning 10-5. Do the Mules have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Unicorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
