Basketball Recap: Havelock Takes a Loss

Havelock lost against West Craven back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Havelock Rams fell 37-28 to the West Craven Eagles. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Havelock lost, don't look at Kaitlynn Howell. Despite the final result, she posted nine points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Howell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elise Matthews, who had four points and six rebounds.

Havelock's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for West Craven, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-2.

Havelock wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 31-30 win against New Bern on the 13th. As for West Craven, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-24 victory against Ayden - Grifton on the 13th.
