Softball Recap: Edinburg North's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Edinburg North unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Bears. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Bears from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kyla Rodriguez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Edinburg North's defeat dropped their record down to 18-6-1. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-1.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Edinburg North Cougars duke it out with Edinburg Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Edinburg has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.07 runs per game on average), something Edinburg North will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, they will face off against La Joya at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
