Volleyball Recap: Long Beach Poly Takes a Loss

Long Beach Poly and Harvard-Westlake squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Long Beach Poly had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wolverines by a score of 3-2. The Jackrabbits were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.

Long Beach Poly took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 21-25, 22-25, 25-11, 15-11.

Long Beach Poly's loss dropped their record down to 29-11. As for Harvard-Westlake, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Long Beach Poly nor Harvard-Westlake have any future games scheduled.
