Logan Young put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in April of 2024 on Friday. He struck out four batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Young and Mundelein will face off against Fremd at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Mustangs are a perfect 7-0 against the Vikings going back to May of 2017, a lead they'll look to extend.
