Baseball Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Bowie Jackrabbits

The Jacksboro Tigers will head out to square off against the Bowie Jackrabbits at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksboro is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.

Last Tuesday, Jacksboro beat Bowie 9-5.

Cannon Valenzuela made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in May of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

In other batting news, Lochlan Pardue was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Kase Dennis was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Jacksboro's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Bowie, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
